Tra l'altro non capisco il senso di questa riscrittura dei pg. Spero non faranno parte del DCU, ma sia un progetto a parte (e sarebbe ottimo, perché significa che avremo anche altro)

secondo me vogliono imitare i film animati di SPider-verse, anche perche' hanno dichiarato che questo film mischiera molti tipi di animazione fino al live action, immaginate se il seguito fosse con Tim Drake e Damian Wayne

Sì, lo avevo pensato anche io, ma spero di no. ANcora una volta inseguirebbero qualcun altro, quando alla fine il reparto animazione andava forte anche da solo, bisognava solo pomparlo di più. Imho il DCAU è uno dei migliori prodotti DC.

è un film che detto così telegraficamente può essere qualsiasi cosa. anche una liquidazione a reeves perchè, nonostante alcune cose dette di recente, dopo batman 2 probabilmente non andrà più avanti con battinson (la cosa riguarda anche todds, per joker, che dovrebbe avere la sua fetta di buonuscita visto che ufficilmente si fermano a folie a deux).

cmq se fosse un'integrazione al filone cinematografico di gunn, come lo sarà creature commandos, non sarebbe nulla di strano e potrebbe essere utile più che interessante dal momento che in the brave and the bold ci sarà damian; il film animato sui robin servirebbe perciò a colmare un po' di storia prima di arrivare al figlio di bruce e poi magari c'entra red hood...

se invece è un film tanto per, non collegato al DCU, ottimo che vada al cinema visto che quelli destinati all'home video non li compra più nessuno e MAX non è presente in tutto il mondo.

Lanterns: Aaron Pierre interpreterà John Stewart nella nuova serie DC!

Dal NYCC un po' di dichiarazioni di Gunn:

Specific events from the DCEU will be canon to the DCU, but only when they are mentioned in new DCU projects.

“There are references to things that happened in the past. And those references then become canon in the DCU because we mention them .”

One examle given of what is stil canon from the DCEU is that Rick Flag is still dead.

Gunn says Creature Commandos explicitly mentions that Rick Flag Sr. son is dead. 

There is no overall aesthetic for the DCU. Instead each project will be artistically distinct. 

“Every single project that comes out of DC studios is going to be its own thing. It’s a connected universe, but we’re not imposing any overall aesthetic .”

Rick Flag Sr. will appear in three DCU projects already.

Animated in Creature Commandos, live-action in Superman, and he is a very important character in Peacemaker Season 2.

Peacemaker Season 2 is shooting right now and is almost done.

“It’s a very different season. Very magical”.

The Superman trailer will arrive relatively soon.

“It won’t be too long, but it won’t be too soon ."

Krypto plays an amazing role in Superman.

“He’s an incredible part of the story. He came into the screenplay and kinda changed everything up.”

The team is deep in the process of editing Superman.

“The edit is going really well. I feel good about the movie.”

Alan Tudyk has a secret role in Superman, James Gunn teased.

Alan already plays Doctor Phosphorus in Creature Commandos, but his role in Superman will be a seperate character.

Supergirl starts filming in January 2025 in the UK.

Craig Gillespie (Director) and Ana Nogueira (Writer) are doing a fantastic job with it. It's “ A completely different take on a superhero movie.”James Gunn has seen a screen test for Ruthye in Supergirl.

The actress tested alongside Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

The script for Supergirl is "a completely different take on a superhero movie".

"Ana Nogueira came and pitched the story, and it was just one of the best pitches I’ve ever heard. She immediately wrote a first draft, and it just got better and better.”

Tom King and James Gunn created the initial story for Lanterns together.

They sketched out the concept during the first few months of DC Studios when a team of writers was assembled to map out the DCU in late 2022.

Lanterns is very grounded.

“It’s a very grounded and real series—which is strange to say for a Green Lantern show. But it’s going to be something nobody’s ever seen before”.

James Gunn has seen Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler screen test together for Lanterns.

“It was a sort of miraculous moment. I just love everything they’re saying together.”Lanterns is almost ready to start shooting.

“Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King are dealing with Lanterns. We’re getting ready to shoot that and it’s been amazing.”

che sia il caso di aprire un topic sul DCU, tipo quello marvel? non è che i supermutandati rappresentino tutta WB anche se in teoria sono un pilastro importante dell'azienda. WB produce, bello o brutto che sia, ben altro e quest'anno qualche soddisfazione sembra se la stia togliendo sia in tv che al cinema (dune, beetlejuice, godzilla e kong, twisters) nonostante tutto. certamente pesa il flop di joker 2, e personalmente speravo che costner tornasse con dei film che non facessero quella fine (di orizon è uscito un film di ben 4; non è andata per niente bene e questo ha portato alla cancellazione dalla scaletta di distribuzione il secondo).

tutti i rimasugli della precedente bizzarra gestione DC, tranne batman il cui spinoff sul pinguino sta andando bene, sono andati a picco da quando si decise di ripartire da zero.

se sia stato un sacrificio necessario o no non è proprio chiaro, perchè forse qualcosa si poteva cercare di salvarlo, ma ha indubbiamente il suo peso economico nonchè di immagine. di buono c'è almeno, si spera se si parla di questi personaggi, che la ripartenza sia fatta con buon senso; il resto sta al pubblico, come sempre.

a tal proposito, sul DCU gunn si è espresso al NYCC.

ancora una volta la prudenza regna sovrana e almeno per adesso, salvo aggiornamenti, non è uscito nulla di eclatante.

trailer di creature commandos (il cui cast poi si potrebbe rivedere live), superman in fase editing e trailer in avvicinamento, supergirl primo ciak nel 2025, peacemaker S2 a buon punto, delle lanterne si sanno solo i nomi dei protagonisti ed il tono della serie tv che è dalle parti di true detective. tutto qui sulle produzioni in corso.

alcuni fatti accaduti durante suicide squad e peacemaker S1 di gunn, entrambi non parte del nuvo corso, sono però canonici e l'autore dice che si comprenderanno facilmente anche senza averli visti.

il DCEU (aka snyderverse -> restore the!) è stato il nono frachise al mondo con i maggiori incassi nonostante 8 dei 15 film abbiano floppato; in tema supereroi è il quinto.

il DCU(niverse) è quanto si sta pianificando e realizzando con gunn.

siccome salvo pazzie non è possibile che ad un certo punto escano tutti sti film legati a batman in date ravvicinate (ben 3: clayface, deathstroke e bane, batman 2) prepariamoci a nuovi sviluppi lol

Eh, ma qui devi convincere Pattinson e Reeves. Reeves imgo lo butti dentro, ma il primo dubito fortemente. Dice che non vuole più legarsi troppo a un pg. 

 

Comunque nel 2026 c'è anche un altro film, ma ora non ricordo quale. 

Creature Commandos rinnovato per una seconda stagione. 

 

 

Per quanto riguarda The Batman II, Pattinson nel 2027 sarà praticamente coetaneo di Affleck in BvS.

To be fair, a 5 year gap or more is fairly common in sequels. 7 years between Alien and Aliens. 14 years between Incredibles. 7 years between the first two Terminators. 13 years between Avatars. 36 years between Top Guns. And, of course, 6 years between Guardians Vol 2 and Vol 3.

 

a me però è venuto un pensierino.

se il dcu pensato da gunn per qualche motivo non dovesse andare bene come si spera (personalmente credo si manterrà su buoni livelli di pubblico, ma non da generare cifre astronomiche), il batmanverse si presterebbe ad essere il nuovo filone con il quale proseguire da zero, forte anche dello spinoff del pinguino che ha fatto buoni numeri.
