Gunbuster: Noriko and Gunbuster are thawed out of a block of ice. It's suggested that she's a survivor of the previous civilization (of fire; The current civilization is that of the sun) which was destroyed 12000 years ago. Kazumi is missing but probably somewhere in this world too. This is post-series Gunbuster; Her last memories are of detonating the BM3, and when she looks at a photo of Kazumi it's of her with short hair. Macross 7: LISTEN TO MY SONG Macross F: Alto still won't choose either of the girls. Also Mikage controls the Vajura. Big O: Paradigm City was created by the will of Taikyoku as an experiment in creating a new universe, and your people notice how it seems to resemble the time prison (time not moving and all) and wonder if it's an experiment or trial run or something. The wasteland outside the dome is the result of the nuclear winter caused by a parallel Char's Axis drop. Angel is part of a system that will reset the world but Roger stops her as in the show and she starts wandering the world on her own. Shin Mazinger: Ashura summons the Mikene gods of Olympos, who tie into the original stuff- They and Uchuumaou from Tetsujin are apparently mortals that overcame the 12000 year loop and became higher beings through "shinka" (written as シンカ and said to be what comes after 進化/evolution; One can assume it's 神化 = becoming gods). The role of higher beings is to guide their younger brothers (i.e. mankind) but Hades and his pals decided they wanted to rule the universe instead. Geass: FMP's A21 used to be members of the Black Knights. Lelouch is the one who came up with Operation Yashima and does the calculations for Shinji. He says he doesn't want to use the geass anymore, and seems to have inherited Wakamoto's Code (Gendou calls him an "inheritor" = keishousha which is what the code people were called in the show). FMP: Gates survives and joins Beck and Kan Yu's team of joke characters. Lots of Fumoffu stuff including Ryouma and Viral helping to train the Rugby club, and the Pony man becoming pals with a bunch of TTGL beast-people. Chidori's whispered knowledge apparently gives her knowledge of black history; She's the first person to mention the Axis drop, before even Char mentions it. The ZEUTH people recall seeing this in the black history stuff back in Z1 (and they actually say black history, albeit as "kuroi rekishi" instead of "kurorekishi"). Preview seems to have Kaname being kidnapped (like in OMO) and Shiki previously seemed to have accidentally leaked that the novels will be in SRW (might have just been a mistake though). Aquarion Evol: Pretty much sticking to the TV series; The time prison has the people stuck in this world forgetting the people outside of it so for the most part of the game they've forgotten Apollo; When they do remember him near the and are told he was a dog they mostly go "yeah he was totally dog-like, makes sense". On the if route, no deaths (Jin seemingly dies but actually survived and was just hiding). Schrade's death in the regular route makes the Spada TOTALLY FUCKING USELESS (only two shitty 1-3 attacks are you fucking kidding me). No indication if Aquarion is coming back in the next game, but it's suggested that the Evol people are from the future so it's possible. Evangelion: Shinji has plenty of role models around to help him grow up. Mostly sticks to the movies, notable changes being Kaworu dicking around everywhere being mysterious as usual and the Eva 03 experiment (and thus Asuka's injuries) being optional. Zeruel is left out, and Sahaquiel is only an event (no fight). Mari's green thing and the angel she fought are event only too. She joins if Asuka leaves and literally does not talk to anyone ever. TTGL: Only the final fight with Antispiral is in. In the final stage (only not really because there's an "epilogue" stage after it, but that's just a survive four turns event thing) it's not just GL but ALL your units which are now gigantic (size infinity) -ORIGINAL STUFF Geminis - Geminides (aliens from planet Gemini) working for the mysterious organisation Saizeriya, they're supposed to oversee the completion of the time prison/eternity flat but their leader Gatorade (AKA Gadrite/Gadlight/Gadrite/Gad fuck this I'm calling him Gatorade) gets butthurt over how Earth gets special treatment (the time prison is supposed to protect Earth, probably from the Baal) when his planet got blown up and he wants to fuck up the place before the Eternity Flat is completed. Annarotta is pregnant with Gatorade's child and because only female Geminides can pass on their genes if she dies the entire species dies with her. Saizeriya- MYSTERYYYYYYY. Cancer man Shikuu works for them. (Actually Sidereal/Psydereal/Cydereal/Fuck this same as Gatorade. Google it if you don't get the joke). Shikuu has two missions on Earth, one is unknown and the other is to execute Annarotta because killing pregnant women shows that your story is serious business. Chrono- Secret organisation on Earth that is supposed to watch over mankind's evolution, wants to work with Geminis/Saizeriya to complete the time prison. Totally not SEELE. Might be a pun on "Kuro no" (as in Kuro no Charisma/Kuro no Eichi). Chrono exists in multiple worlds, they were behind the assassinations of both Heero Yuy (the original one, MISSION ACKNOWLEDGED SELF DESTRUCTING TARGET CONFIRMED RELENA I WILL KILL YOU) and Zeon Zum Deikun. Chrono reformists- Splinter group lead by Advent, want to stop the time prison. One of Advent's goons may or may not be the nurse Maki (take a close look at the hair/forehead). Baal- Seems like this might turn out to be an equivalent of Alpha 3's apocalypsis = a catch-all term for everything bringing about the end of the universe. The Invaders and STMC are Baal. Gatorade's sphere, the Twins of Discord allows the sphere reactor to reverse people's feelings; Gatorade used this to fuck up places where earthnoids and spacenoids were trying to forge alliances and start a war, and on your people when you're going to fight him to sap their fighting spirit (not THAT powerful; He uses it on Shin's anger, who overcomes it by just getting angrier). It's activated by conflicting emotions, in his case resignation and anger, and Advent mentions that its weakness is Im Liared's Aries sphere (because lies can be used to reconcile conflicting emotions). Because it isn't available, Advent reveals something (mysteryyyy) that gets Gatorade really angry and "sacrifices" himself to fuck up his emotional balance, resulting in the sphere jumping to Hibiki's balance of IIRC hope and despair. The Geminia was built specifically to draw on the sphere's power (not mentioned in the story, only in the library entry). Gatorade is a third stage sphere reactor which gives him a "sphere act", a high level sphere ability. Presumably the previous main characters will get abilities too when they return in the last game (when they power up their spheres). It's also stated that the side-effects are not a curse but a test- When a reactor overcomes the side-effects and reaches a high enough level, they completely go away (which is why Gatorade doesn't suffer from any; Thus it's unknown what will happen to Hibiki since we haven't seen the Twins' side-effect yet). Hibiki's father and sister were presumably killed in a dimension quake caused by an "angel" he thinks is Gatorade- He can sense his presence because whenever he's near one of his eyes turn red (like the people in the hospital, other people who survived dimension quakes who got this bloody eye thing which leaves them without emotions aside from fear). But when cancer man shows up at the end he gets a red eye again so it probably wasn't Gatorade (sphere radar?). Also his mother died before he went to live with his father and sister, but the circumstances of her death are suspicious, especially considering how one of Gatorade's last words are "YOUR MOM'S WAITING FOR YOU IN HELL HAR HAR" (it's even a voiced map event). tl;dr final boss is ur mom Suzune dimension slipped into this world on her own several years ago with no memories and, she seemingly has a second personality, that's all we know of her so far. The Genion was seemingly made specifically to steal Gatorade's sphere, with its GAI mode even resembling the Geminia. It's observed that this is similar to Asakim's Shurouga. AG (the robot)'s main objective is to 1) Test the Genion (he claims he knows nothing about it) and 2) collect Z chips which are crystals formed from human emotions. AG seems innocent enough but keeps mentioning stuff he shouldn't be able to know (HEY KATZ KEEP YOUR EYES AHEAD SO YOU DON'T CRASH INTO SOMETHING LOL). This might be meta jokes or may have something to do with how AG written in katakana is エージー which is ジーエー reversed JUST SAYING. He also says at some point that he himself has feelings. Time Prison/Eternity Flat is a thing that will stop time on Earth and protect it from something (presumably the Baal). It's still ambiguous as to whose doing it is, though Saizeriya presumably has something to do with it. People not inside the time prison are erased from the memories of people inside, and it's not until the Solar Aquarion appears that the ZEUTH/ZEXIS people get all their memories back of all the other people (up till then whenever they seemed to recall people they'd get headaches and just forget). Asakim's library entry seemingly mentions that he has seven spheres (not clear if it says three and an unnamed fourth, or three and four unnamed ones; The language in the actual entry points to the latter, but continuity indicates the former). If he has seven that's all twelve accounted for. Da oggi Noriko è Captain Earth, alla faccia del nano. L'hanno ritrovata da un blocco di ghiaccio, appena si sveglia comincia a dispensare mazzate. E' suggerito (ma again, non confermato) che sia una sopravvissuta della precedente civiltà distrutta 12.000 anni prima, quella del fuoco, l'attuale è quella del sole. Big O ha la trama. Il mondo fuori da Paradigm City è combinato così per via della riuscita del drop di Axis in quel mondo. Hades ha il Big Will da Saint Seiya ed è diventato un dio. Lulu che s'inventa l'operazione Yashima è figo, ma nun me piace. Misato meritava di più. E pare abbia ereditato il Code dal papi. Confermato che lo Spada diventa inutile se Shrade muore, nella IF però non muore. Jin era nascosto pure lui stile Euphemia (che però si scopre qui che non era nascosta, è morta). Se Mari viene reclutata NON PARLA CON NESSUNO. LOL. Kaworu invece è ovunque e chiacchiera molto di più che nei film. Gatorade è emo, incazzato perchè la Time Prison apparentemente è creata per PROTEGGERE la Terra (sento puzza di Ganeden). Shikuu finisce di sterminare i Geminides. Solo le donne possono tramandare i geni sul pianeta gemini, Annalotta è pregna di Gatorade e viene terminata da DeathMask mentre è ancora incinta. Ed era l'ultima. Chrono ha ammazzata Heero Yui e Zeon Zum Daikun. Advent è della fazione ribelle ed è un trollone che causa il passaggio della Gemini Sphere da Gatorade a Hibiki I lati negativi della Sphere a quanto pare sono un test: una volta sorpassatili e raggiunto un alto livello di potere, questi vanno via. La questione dell'ammazzare uno Sphere Reactor al massimo potere per evitare i lati negativi comunque ho ricontrollato e detto una boiata io: Asakim in Z1 dice semplicemente che se uccide un portatore prima che la Sphere abbia raggiunto il massimo potere questa semplicemente passa ad un altro invece che all'assassino. Hibiki ce l'ha con Gatorade perchè pensa sia lui ad aver ammazzato il padre per via degli occhietti rossi che gli causa (lo stesso effetto che gli causa l' "angelo" che ha sterminato la famigliola), ma a quanto pare non è proprio così, anche Shikuu causa lo stesso effetto. Sembra anche che ci sia qualcosa sotto la morte della madre (precedente all' "angelo") e Gadlight la sappia lunga in merito. Però muore prima di spiegarlo. Per ora si sa solo che Suzune ha una seconda personalità. Il Genion pare (e di nuovo "pare") sia stato creato apposta per rubare la Gemini Sphere a Gatorade, per questo il Gai mode somiglia al Geminias. Questo in breve. Pare anche che attivando il Big Will e diventando dei si sopravviva al collasso dell'universo (ancora non si sa se sia la divisione, la distruzione, lacippa).. o quello o si usa il Tardis per andare nel futuro. Non so se le traduzioni di MN siano perfette (le traslitterazioni non lo sono), so che comunque nei giochi precedenti alla fine quadrava sempre tutto, sia per lui che per altri che si occupavano di tradurre la storia. Io leggo Gamefaqs e SRWG comunque, e non mi è parso che ci si lamenti della coerenza della storia in sè, quanto del fatto che non ti dicono praticamente niente. A parte Amata\Kagura come reincarnazione di Apollo (che già lì non è facile da far digerire in un eventuale Z3, ma è sempre più digeribile del fatto che fossero un cane e non Apollonius) è tutto lasciato in sospeso. Non si sa cosa sia il ciclo di 12.000 anni dell'universo, non si sa cosa sia di preciso Baal (se non un'anomalia che sembra non avere nulla a che fare con la fine in sè), non si sa che fine abbiano fatto gli altri possessori di Sphere, non si sa chi sia Advent, non si sa che cosa voglia di preciso la Crono, eccetera. Cosa che ci sta, per carità, visto che il gioco è diviso in due, ma immagino possa stranire. Così come boh, magari le obiezioni sono esplicate altrove rispetto a quelle due community (anche se per gamefaqs è una parola grossa). Per questo attenderò ancora un po'. Può essere che ci siano retcon più o meno efficaci comunque (ho letto che hanno giustificato Apollo come Pollon già in Z1 dicendo che Apollonius li ha trollati tutti e che comunque Apollo aveva mostrato abbastanza potere da far credere di essere le Ali del Sole, d'altronde Pollon era sempre un Datenshi), ma è alla fine la stessa situazione che leggevo per Z2 e alla fine invece tornava tutto. I want to believe. For now. Per il resto il setting non mi dispiace fino adesso, credo che Z1 nonostante i viaggi dimensionali fosse un capolavoro dal punto di vista della gestione del tutto. Z2 già un po' più complicato con due versioni del giappone nello stesso mondo eccetera, ma alla fine era questo il bello: con la storia della bomba dimensionale potevi infilarci di tutto e di più. E ci stava. Credo che sia meglio di come Alpha 3 infilava i Virtual On, per dire. Insomma, continuo a non vedere grossissimi problemi di gestione con entrambi i modelli. Poi chiaro che io non leggo il giapponese e seguo solo un paio di community (per dire, io 2chan non lo leggo), ma anche così a me pare vada bene. Così come va bene lineare, tipo in OGs. Penso però che a questo giro si sia pagato molto di più il fatto che il gioco è diviso in due. Mentre Hakai si chiudeva in modo coerente e poteva anche finire lì (certo, si sapeva che molte serie erano divise in due, ma gli eventi del gioco erano chiusi e non c'era cliffhanger) col solo mistero di cosa fosse Gaioh in realtà (ti dicevano solo che era il creatore e padrone delle Dimensional Beast e che aveva distrutto il mondo d'origine di Marguerite e Schuval se non vado errato), qui hanno lasciato tanta roba in sospeso per quanto riguarda il plot original e il gioco si è chiuso con un cliffhanger della madonna.

Magari hanno fatto il remaster semplicemente perchè c'era richiesta da parte dei possessori di Ps4 che non avevano ancora preso il titolo, che era uscito mi pare un sei mesi prima dell'uscita della console, se non meno. La Ps4 non è retrocompatibile, quindi non si poteva giocare a LoU senza la vecchia console, che non è che tutti tengano in casa dopo aver comprato la nuova. Può esserci più di una spiegazione. Penso anch'io che faranno un sequel comunque, ma per ora sono concentrati su Uncharted 4, sarà quello il titolo grosso ed esclusivo della Ps4 nel prossimo periodo. Il gioco comunque è di suo sbilanciato verso il lato storia, si diceva già da prima che dal punto di vista della giocabilità è un po' grezzo in certe aree. Chiaro però che 15 euro per 3 ore è uno sticazzi garantito.

Mah, io aspetterò le FAQ complete o qualche altro po' di tempo prima di giudicare nel complesso la storia. Fino adesso tutti gli Z sono apparsi tremendamente incasinati finchè non sono passati almeno un paio di mesi dall'uscita, e per ora le notizie rimangono frammentarie alla meglio. Oltretutto c'è sempre Tengoku in mezzo alle balle, quindi se ci sono dei punti lasciati in sospeso è proprio in vista di z3.2. Per dire, che la fine dell'Universo come lo conosciamo sia inevitabile o meno, non sappiamo se fermare Baal possa cambiare le cose, nè se Baal abbia effettivamente niente a che fare col reset in sè. Credo che la sua più grossa giustificazione sia il fatto che ormai il povero ragnetto è stato il balocco di ogni incapace capitato lì negli ultimi tre-quattro anni.
