More information about the anime will be in the Newtype issue, which officially ships on Thursday. Update: The domain star-driver.net has been registered by Aniplex. Takuya Igarashi (Soul Eater) is directing the project at the anime studio BONES, and Yoji Enokido (Revolutionary Girl Utena) is writing the scripts. Misa and Hiroka Mizuya are collaborating on the original character designs, and Yoshiyuki Ito (Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater) is adapting the designs for animation and overseeing the animation. Satoru Kousaki (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Bakemonogatari) is scoring the music. The anime centers around a boy named Takuto who pilots a robot named Taubaan. EDIT: Secondo Enokido il tema principale della serie è l'influsso del tempo sulle relazioni umane, il mutare dei rapporti, come le persone affrontano il passare degli anni. Ci sarà una love story portante e qualche legame d'amicizia, unita a tanta azione robotica. Ma soprattutto tanti bishonen e bishojo (eheh, teh new Geass is here). Sul sito c'è scritto Gakuen Robot Action series, così come pure era stato presentato Geasso. Coincidence? I don't think so. Le love stories sono presenti in una percentuale alta di storie che spingono, quindi per il momento non mi spaventa tanto la componente love love. E che il protagonista è talmente sfigato da essersi beccato la signorina Rottermayer direttamente dalla Sfizzera? In fondo, l'aspetto della zitellona acida ce l'ha quel robot. In questo senso la love story portante potrebbe assumere proporzioni mai viste, il lolibot con la loli che lo ricambiava l'abbiam visto, ora manca il cattivo studente che s'innamora dell'insegnante buona, cara e alta sedici metri. E se Takoso s'è beccato la zitellona acida mi immagino cosa possa accadere allo studente che s'è beccato la robosensei gnocca che c'è in ogni anime da dieci anni a questa parte.
