Oltre al Doc Strange, a novembre iniziano pure le riprese di Wonder Woman!

Giuro che non avrei mai pensato di poterla davvero vedere sul grande schermo, considerando che un film su WW è stato in development per buona parte degli ultimi 20 anni! Si dice pure che la prima parte del film sarà ambientata durante la prima guerra mondiale (addirittura? non era meglio la seconda o volevano evitare paragoni con Captain America?) e la seconda invece al tempo presente! Celebriamo!

Anche perchè trattandosi di Sean Bean, schiatta subito alla fine del film!

Di Eva Green sono entusiasta picchè ha un talento immenso (l'altr'anno rimasi impressionato dalla sua performance nella prima stagione di Penny Dreadful!) e con qualche anno di meno sarebbe potuta essere lei la WW perfetta! Oltre che Circe, sarebbe figo se fosse Cheetah!

Rumour sulla timeline del film (metto sotto spoiler perché potrebbe rovinare diverse sorprese, se si rivelasse esatto):

The first setting will be Themyscira, the idyllic island Wonder Woman has called home since her adventures began in the 1940s. The second period is World War I - the specific year we've been given is 1916, which places it right in the middle of that conflict. The movie will then move to the modern day, where it will tie into the events of Justice League Part One, out at the end of 2017 and also set to star Gadot's Wonder Woman.

Sono molto curioso: tre timeline in un solo film mi sembrano tante, ma vediamo com'è articolato. Mi intriga molto il setting della prima guerra mondiale.

Immagino sia sempre Gal Gadotta... ma penso sia plausibile la presenza di Hippolyta.

Chiedevo perchè se non vado errato la WWI è lo scenario della Golden Age con la Secret Society of Justice, e dopo Ora Zero la Wonder Woman originale di quel periodo era proprio Hippolyta (non ricordo poi se hanno retconnato).

Mi pare comunque che anche Diana non invecchi (attualmente è una semidea, quella originale era direttamente un costrutto magico) o invecchi molto lentamente ( in Kingdom Come mostrava qualche anno in più e in generale se si legge il concept di vari autori sembra non essere mai stata considerata immortale o immune all'invecchiamento, per quanto molto rallentato), quindi può essere benissimo la Gadotta, posto che comunque credo che Themiscyra implichi un certo grado di presentazioni di Amazzoni e quindi Hippolyta.

 

La cosa che mi farebbe sorridere di un'eventuale comparsa della "mammina" comunque sarebbe Linda Carter a interpretarla (se è ancora viva e presentabile).

Linda carter è invecchiata bene. Ha oltre 60 anni ma li porta bene senza danni chirurgici e non è una botte.

Alla peggio possono sempre usare Lucy Lawless. Ma ruberebbe completamente la scena alla Gadotta.

 

Comunque post-Ora Zero Ippolita era la WW della Justice Society of America durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Eventi durante la PRIMA sono una novità per WW

Succosissime e inaspettate novità per Wonder Woman e che dovrebbe alzare il nostro livello di curiosità da 1 a 10, è tutto molto interessante e per comodità vi riporto il testo orginale, sempre tenendo conto che si tratta di indiscrezioni:

 

According to our sources, the film follows very closely to the comic book, which is rooted very heavily in the mythological elements. It sounds very much like Wonder Woman is the Thor of the DCCU, so that should give you a basis of where she fits into the massive paradigm they’re building.

 

both Circe and Ares will be the main villains, although Ares will act as more of a “puppet master” pulling the strings behind the scenes, while working in cahoots with Circe. Ares will be decked out in his classic mythological armor (typically portrayed as Greek hoplite or Roman gladiator armor), while Circe will have a cloth-based purple get up. Again, both will be close to the designs from the comic with the usual “movietization” upgrades.

 

In addition, expect to see many mythological/mystical creatures scattered throughout (there is even mention of a visit to Olympus, but the context of that is unknown). Ares will employ an army of beasts that are described as red or green demonic monsters with horns and wings that will be sent to kill Wonder Woman at some point in the film to keep her from stopping Circe.

Lastly, although Circe is rooted in sorcery (and is known in mythology to have the power to turn men into beasts), she will also take on the form of a Chimera-like monster during her final battle with Wonder Woman.

 

The very basics of the plot follow Diana/Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor in modern day trying to stop Circe, who is manipulating high-level government men into starting World War III with the help of Ares. At some point she will explain to Trevor about her first battle with Ares during World War I, where she defeated him. Whether or not this is told in flashback or shown early on in the film is unclear, although it’s said that the majority of the film will be set in modern day, so don’t expect an even split between those timelines.

 

The WONDER WOMAN solo film will actually take place a few months BEFORE the events of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE.

In addition to that, the Caped Crusader is said to appear in the film when Diana fights Ares' winged demonic minions, watching her save civilian lives during the battle. After the film’s finale, Batman will approach Wonder Woman in some regard to let her know he is aware of her, establishing a relationship that leads to her involvement in BVS.

Non capisco però questo senso di fare un film che parte fortemente in media res con dei legami prestabili e poi fare altri film che li approfondiscano... Boh.

Un momento, pare che quello di Chris Pine sia un ruolo duplice, cioè interpreta sia lo Steve Trevor di World War I che il suo discendente ai tempi odierni. Boh, staremo a vedere se è vero.
