The anime studio Artland and The Animation Enterprise Group of Japan have announced the launch of an original project called Angel Scandies by opening a teaser website. Artland worked on such titles as Mushi-Shi, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Orguss, and Macross. Animation Enterprise is a group of anime production managers from Artland, Mushi Productions, and other studios.

 

The production company Marvelous Entertainment just announced on Monday that it is selling off its majority ownership of Artland to the studio's president Kuniharu Okano. Okano is also a vice-president of Animation Enterprise.

Story is set after the Jinshō (Buddhist divine generals) were defeated by darkness and became lost in time. After the world descended into chaos, Zan, a samurai with no memories, discovers his calling and assembles fellow soldiers who can cross through time and space. Together, they take on the legions of darkness.

An anime adaptation of doujin circle Rui-tomo’s manga 「!!」 has been green-lit for production. The anime, entitled 「Gokicha!! Cockroach Girl」, will be shown on mobile phones. It will be produced by MOVIC.

 

The 「!!」 doujin manga is about a moe anthropomorphized cockroach girl named Gokicha who tries to be liked by humans. It was originally released at Comiket 77 in December 2009. The second volume, entitled 「!!!」, was made available at Comiket 78 in August 2010.
