Proprio qualche giorno fa mi stavo dedicando all'ascolto della discografia di Susumu Hirasawa, suo eccezionale collaboratore. Anche pensare che due giganti come loro non potranno più lavorare insieme è davvero triste. Riposi in pace sensei, le auguro di incontrare dall'altra parte Chiyoko Fujiwara. La fonte iniziale era questa: Yasuiro Takeda's twitter , poi a quanto pare ha confermato anche Maruyama Masao (boss di Madhouse) che pero' ha solo confermato che era morto 'un grande regista' . Comunque la cosa sta rimbalzando principalmente in rete, e pare che chi riporta la news abbia avuto a sua volta dei riscontri. La moglie e la MADHOUSE hanno confermato che si tratatva di cancro al pancreas. Uno dei più veloci e letali, cristo santo. Hanno inoltre aggiunto che la cerimonia funebre sarà privata. E' stato inoltre postato un ultimo lungo post d'addio sul suo blog, dove fra le altre cose (e col beneficio del dubbio dato dalla traduzione automatica) afferma che la notizia della malattia gli fu data lo scorso maggio e che rimpiange di non aver portato a conclusione il film Yume Miru Kikai, a cui si era dedicato con tutte le energie disponibili anche durante questi ultimi mesi. Proprio uno dei suoi ultimi tweet verteva sulla pellicola, nel quale affermava che aveva preso visione di alcune delle prime stampe, o 'rushes', che in genere rappresentano l'ultimo passo prima del montaggio definitivo.
